Why Europe

Why Europe earns your investment.

Whether your head office is in Chicago, London, Toronto or here in the single market, Europe is one of the most rewarding places in the world to put branded merchandise to work. It only feels simple, though, when one partner carries the borders, the languages and the tax rules for you.

450Mpeople in the EU single market
24official EU languages
1partner for all of it

One of everything

One quote, one invoice and one point of contact for the whole of Europe, instead of chasing a separate supplier in every market.

VAT and customs, handled

Reverse charge, OSS or export applied correctly for your country, and no customs paperwork between EU member states. You never register for VAT abroad.

Built cross-border

We were designed for pan-European work from the start, not a domestic supplier improvising its way across the continent.

Consistent everywhere

The same products, the same branding quality and the same clean documentation whether it lands in Madrid, Paris or Berlin.

Local where it counts

Multilingual service, delivery from within the market and pricing that makes sense country by country, all coordinated from one account.

Made for procurement

Itemised quotes, correct VAT stated in full and paperwork that stands up to a finance review, so internal sign-off is quick.

Why Europe rewards the investment

Europe is not one market, it is dozens sitting side by side, and that is what makes it valuable. Nearly 450 million people in the EU alone, with high purchasing power and a deep-rooted culture of business gifting, corporate events and long-term supplier relationships. Branded merchandise is not an afterthought here; it is a normal, expected part of how companies build trust at conferences, welcome new staff and thank the clients who matter.

It is also relationship-driven. Business still moves through in-person meetings, trade fairs and the small physical gestures that keep a brand memorable long after a screen goes dark. A well-made, well-branded product does what an email cannot: it stays on a desk and keeps working for months, so the return on a considered programme is real. The difficulty has never been demand, only the logistics, and that is exactly what we remove.

Two starting points, one outcome

For teams based outside Europe

If your company sits outside the single market, in the US, the UK, Canada or beyond, a European campaign usually means finding, vetting and paying suppliers whose tax and customs rules you have no reason to know. We are the European presence you do not have to build: brief us once, in English, and we handle sourcing, branding, VAT, customs and delivery across the continent, with no European entity or local VAT registration needed, one invoice and one person who answers for the whole order.

For European businesses

If you are already inside the single market, the challenge is usually breadth: an office in Amsterdam, staff in five countries, an event in Lisbon and a client gift heading to Milan, all spread across different suppliers, lead times and standards. We consolidate that into one relationship, so you keep local delivery, fitting prices and service in the right language while gaining a single brand standard, one point of contact and one invoice, whether the order goes next door or to the far side of Europe.

Sustainability that is expected, not optional

Europe sets the pace on responsible sourcing, and European buyers increasingly ask for it by name. Recognised certifications such as GRS and RCS for recycled content, FSC for paper and wood, GOTS for organic textiles and OEKO-TEX for tested materials have moved from nice-to-have to requirement for many procurement teams. We build shortlists around genuinely certified products, and only make an environmental claim where a real certificate stands behind it.

Regulation is moving the same way, from the incoming Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation to stricter rules on green claims. A partner already working to European standards means a merchandise programme built to last, not a compliance problem a year from now.

The time you get back

The clearest advantage of investing in Europe through one partner is not a line on an invoice, it is the time you stop losing. No chasing quotes across time zones, no reconciling six deliveries against six purchase orders, no learning the VAT treatment of a country you will ship to once. One brief, one approval, one tracked delivery and one invoice, in the language you work in.

That time goes back into what actually moves your brand: the campaign, the event and the people you want to reach. Europe is worth the investment, and our job is to make sure it lands on the merchandise and the moment it creates, not on the machinery behind it.

Questions & answers

Ordering across Europe

The practical questions we are asked most often about sourcing, branding and receiving promotional merchandise anywhere in Europe. If your question is about VAT, customs or delivery, the next section covers that in detail.

We deliver branded merchandise across all 27 EU member states and, beyond the single market, to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Andorra and Monaco, 33 markets in total. Whether a campaign covers one country or a dozen, it runs through a single account, one quote and one point of contact, so you never manage a separate supplier in each market.

Yes, and it is one of the main reasons clients come to us. If your head office is in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada or anywhere outside the single market and you are running European campaigns, events or new-hire kits, we are the European presence you do not have to build. You brief us once, in English, and we handle sourcing, branding, delivery and the tax and customs side across the continent.

It depends on the product and the branding method rather than a single company-wide figure. Some items are viable from small quantities; others carry a higher minimum because of setup costs. When you send an enquiry we will tell you the realistic minimum for the products you are interested in, and if a quantity is too low to be economical we will say so and suggest a better-value alternative.

For standard catalogue products, plan for roughly 7 to 14 working days of production from the moment you approve the artwork, plus delivery time to the destination. Bespoke or custom-made items usually need around 4 weeks or more. Production only begins once the artwork is approved in writing and payment has cleared, so approving promptly is the single biggest thing you can do to protect a deadline. If you have a fixed event date, tell us early and we will work back from it.

Our range runs to more than 10,000 products across clothing and apparel, bags and travel, drinkware, office and stationery, technology, wellness and personal care, eco and sustainable lines, home and living, events and outdoor gear, and gourmet and drink gifts. If you have something specific in mind that you do not see, ask, because we source well beyond the online catalogue.

Yes. Samples are a normal part of a considered order, especially for apparel where fit and fabric matter, and we can arrange them on request. Samples are charged rather than free, and the cost is usually modest against the value of getting the final order right. For most products we can also provide a digital mockup at no charge, so you can see your branding in place before anything is produced.

Ideally we need your logo as vector artwork, an SVG, EPS or PDF, since that reproduces cleanly at any size and on any product. If all you have is a low-resolution image such as a small PNG or a screenshot, we can convert it to production-ready vector format for you at no charge, with your written sign-off on the result before it goes near production. Getting the artwork right at this stage is what keeps the finished branding sharp.

Yes. A single order can be split across multiple destinations in different countries, with the correct tax treatment and delivery arrangement applied to each leg. This is one of the clearest advantages of working with a single pan-European partner rather than a supplier in each market: one brief, one approval and one invoice, even when the goods are heading to several places at once.

Yes, and it is a growing part of what our clients ask for. We build shortlists around genuinely certified products: recycled materials carrying GRS or RCS, paper and wood certified to FSC, organic textiles to GOTS and materials tested to OEKO-TEX. We only make an environmental claim where a real certificate stands behind it, so what you present to your own stakeholders holds up to scrutiny.

The quickest way is to tell us the product or effect you are after, the rough quantity, the destination country or countries and the date you need everything in hand. From there we come back with a clear, itemised quote and flag anything still missing. You can reach us at info@swishandclick.eu, and if you are not sure exactly what you want yet, a short description of the campaign or occasion is enough for us to make suggestions.

Our storefront and service run in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Catalan, and we are built for cross-border work by design. You can brief us and receive quotes, mockups and documentation in the language that suits your team, while your recipients across Europe are looked after in a way that feels local to them. If your campaign needs materials adapted for a particular market, tell us and we will make sure the wording lands correctly.

Questions & answers

VAT, customs and delivery across Europe

How the tax, customs and delivery side works when you order across Europe. These are general answers to the questions we hear most; we confirm the exact treatment for your order on every quote.

The right VAT treatment depends on who is buying and where the goods are delivered, not on where your company happens to be based. In short: a business with a valid EU VAT number receiving goods inside the EU is usually invoiced under the reverse charge at 0%; a buyer without a valid EU VAT number, or goods delivered to a private recipient, is charged the local VAT rate of the destination country; goods delivered outside the EU are treated as an export at 0%, with any duties handled at the destination.

If you hold a valid EU VAT number and the goods are delivered within the EU, we normally invoice under the reverse charge mechanism at 0%, and you account for the VAT in your own return. We verify the number before applying it. The one exception worth knowing is delivery into Estonia itself, where our own country’s domestic VAT applies rather than the reverse charge. We will always state which treatment we have used and why.

This is the single most common and most costly misunderstanding, so it is worth being clear. Being a non-EU company does not make an EU delivery zero-rated. If the goods are delivered inside the EU, local VAT is due at the rate of the destination country, regardless of where your business is registered. Zero rating applies to a genuine export, meaning goods that physically leave the EU. We will tell you exactly which applies before you commit, because getting this wrong is expensive to unwind later.

No. You do not need to register for VAT in any European country to place an order with us. We handle the VAT treatment on our side and issue a compliant invoice for your records. That is a large part of the point of working with a single European partner: the cross-border tax mechanics sit with us, not with you, whether you are ordering from inside or outside the EU.

No. The EU is a single customs union, so goods moving between member states do so without customs declarations or import duties. That is what makes multi-country European campaigns straightforward once you are working through a partner inside the union. Customs only enters the picture when goods cross the external border of the EU, for example a delivery to the United Kingdom, Switzerland or Norway.

We deliver to these markets regularly. Because they sit outside the EU customs union, the shipment is handled as an export: goods leave with the correct documentation, and import duties or local taxes may be due at the destination. We will discuss the terms with you in advance, including whether duties are settled on delivery or billed separately, so the recipient is not met with an unexpected charge. Where an EORI number is needed for the movement, we will tell you.

An EORI number is an identifier used for customs when goods cross the EU border, in either direction. For deliveries that stay inside the EU you will not need one. For imports or exports across the EU border, whether one is required, and whose it is, depends on the arrangement and the destination. We hold our own EORI for the movements we manage, and where you need one we will flag it early rather than at the border, so nothing is held up.

Production time is the same wherever the order is going; it is the final delivery leg that varies. Deliveries within Central and Western Europe are typically the quickest and most predictable. Southern Europe, remote regions and islands can take longer and are more exposed to local courier variation, and peak periods around major holidays add time everywhere. We build realistic delivery windows into every quote rather than optimistic ones, and if you have a hard deadline we plan the whole timeline backwards from it.

Yes, and we do it often, but these deliveries reward planning. Stands, hotels, conference centres and serviced venues each have their own rules on when goods can arrive, who is allowed to sign for them and where they are held until you need them. The earlier you give us the full address, an on-site contact and a local phone number, the smoother it goes. Tell us the date everything must be in hand and we will work back from it, and add express where a deadline is tight, as long as it is arranged before dispatch.

An order moves into production once the artwork is approved in writing and payment has cleared, which protects your deadline and locks the specification. You will receive a clear, itemised invoice showing the correct VAT treatment in full, suitable for your finance team and any internal audit. If your process needs particular references, a purchase order number or specific billing details, tell us and we will make sure they appear on the paperwork.
