Hoodies for teams: the questions we hear most

    01

Hoodie, zip hoodie or sweatshirt: which suits a team best?

A pullover hoodie is the relaxed favourite and has a big, clean back for a print. A zip hoodie is easy to layer over a T-shirt at the office or on site. A crew neck sweatshirt looks a little smarter and works under a jacket.

    02

What sizes do your branded hoodies come in, kids included?

Most styles run from XS or S to 3XL, and URBAN goes up to 4XL. Several come in kids' sizes, so families and junior teams can match, and the kids' versions of URBAN and BADET come without drawstrings.

    03

Can we print a team name on the back?

Yes. A large back print is the classic for team hoodies: logo, team name or the event. The chest, sleeve and hood work too, and you can combine positions. We confirm the techniques and positions in your quote.

Six fabrics, outside and in. Run a finger over the inside, then load the machine and check your wash against the real care label.

    04

Brushed fleece or French terry: what is the difference?

Both are knitted with loops on the inside. French terry keeps the loops, so it feels lighter and smooth. Brushed fleece has those loops brushed up into a soft, fluffy layer that feels cosier. On the outside, both look the same.

    05

How should we wash branded hoodies?

Follow the care label, which on most of our hoodies says 30 or 40 °C at most and no tumble dryer. Turn them inside out, wash with similar colours and never iron over the print.

    06

What is pilling, and how do we avoid it?

Pills are little balls of tangled fibre that form where fabric rubs. A gentle wash inside out and skipping the tumble dryer help. Labs test for pilling with methods such as ISO 12945.

    The timeline

In Alabama, Benjamin Russell Jr. asks for cotton instead of itchy wool at football practice. The sweatshirt follows, according to Russell Athletic.

The EU Textile Labelling Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 makes the fibre composition, in percent by weight, a must on every label.

      07

Do you have organic or recycled hoodies?

Yes. VINSON and BATIAN are 65% cotton (57% organic) and 35% polyester (21% recycled), certified to OCS and GRS. ESTAMBUL is 88% recycled polyester with GRS certification. The certificate numbers are on each product page.

      08

What must a hoodie's label show in the EU?

Under the EU Textile Labelling Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011, every textile product shows its fibre composition as percentages by weight, using the fibre names the regulation sets, in the language of the country where it is sold.
