    What is the difference between Qi, Qi2 and Qi2 25W?

    Qi is the Wireless Power Consortium standard: 5 W in 2010, later 15 W. Qi2 (2023) adds magnets that hold the phone in place; Qi2 25W followed in 2025. Only WPC-certified products may carry the Qi or Qi2 logo.

    Why does a USB-C plug fit both ways up?

    Its 24 pins sit in two mirrored rows. Only one of the two configuration pins (CC) meets the cable, so the device knows which way up the plug went in. Published in 2014.

    Do branded gadgets have to come with a charger in the EU?

    No. Since 28 December 2024, phones, earbuds, speakers and other covered devices sold in the EU need a USB-C socket and must be offered without a charger too; the box shows which. Above 15 W, fast charging must use USB Power Delivery.

    What must a branded power bank show under EU battery rules?

    It counts as a battery under Regulation (EU) 2023/1542: CE mark and, since 18 August 2025, the crossed-out bin, with a capacity label and a QR code to follow. Draft Commission guidance says the 2027 user-replaceable battery rule does not apply to a power bank itself.

    Can you fly with a branded power bank?

    Yes, in your cabin bag, never in checked luggage. Most airlines allow two of up to 100 Wh each, and more and more ban using or charging them on board, so check with your airline. Wh = mAh × V ÷ 1,000: PROMAX is 19.25 Wh.

    Do Bluetooth 5.3 earbuds support Auracast?

    Not automatically. Auracast, announced in June 2022, is part of LE Audio and needs a broadcast-ready source and receivers. It is built for shared audio: silent TVs in airports and gyms, announcements, a team listening to one phone. A Bluetooth version on the box does not promise it, so we check the spec sheet before we say so.

    How loud is too loud?

    WHO and ITU set 80 dB for up to 40 hours a week as the safe listening level for adults, and every 3 dB more halves that time. EU rules for music players allow 5 hours a week at 89 dB(A) and require a warning at high volume.

    What do USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and USB4 mean on a branded drive?

    The version sets the top speed: USB 2.0 up to 480 Mbit/s, USB 3.0 5 Gbit/s, USB4 up to 40 Gbps and USB4 Version 2.0 80 Gbps. Real copies are slower and depend on the memory inside, so we quote the version and capacity from the spec sheet, and CYLON tells you both: USB 2.0, 16 GB.

    Do branded trackers work on iPhone and Android?

    FINEX and DROPY work with Apple Find My and Google Find Hub, so one tracker suits a mixed team. Tags marked Apple Find My only need an iPhone. Locations travel end-to-end encrypted through nearby phones.

    Can a tracker be used to follow someone?

    Trackers are made for keys, bags and luggage. Since 13 May 2024, iPhone and Android both alert people when an unknown tag travels with them, and they can make it ring to find it. Never track a person without their consent.

      What is the minimum order for branded tech?

      Most catalogue tech has no minimum: quotes start from 1 unit. KASPER starts at 100, and Vonmählen minimums vary.

      How long does branded tech take?

      Usually 7 to 14 working days after artwork approval, plus at least 5 working days for delivery; longer for islands and outside the EU.

      Will I see a proof first?

      Yes: a digital proof of your logo's size, position, colours and method. Production starts only once you approve it.

      Can we mix products in one order?

      Yes, each at its own quantity, from power banks to speakers. Colour splits are often possible; we confirm them per item.

      A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) with Pantone references; a high-resolution PNG works for digital print.

      Do wireless gadgets face cybersecurity rules?

      Yes. Since 1 August 2025, internet-connected radio equipment in the EU must protect networks and personal data; the Cyber Resilience Act follows on 11 December 2027.

      Yes: European production and delivery to all 33 European markets, split across addresses as you need. For the UK, Switzerland and Norway, customs adds days and import charges are usually the receiver's.
