    FAQ

    Hotels and holiday rentals

    01

Which branded items suit a hotel or holiday rental welcome?

Things guests use and take home: a sherpa throw, a bedside clock that charges a phone, a rechargeable lantern, a scent diffuser. In ASI's 2026 study, usefulness was the top reason to keep a promotional item in every European country surveyed.

    02

What changes for hotel toiletries in 2030?

From 1 January 2030, Regulation (EU) 2025/40 restricts single-use toiletry packaging in accommodation (Commission guidelines are due by 12 February 2027). Throws, clocks and mugs are not packaging, so in-room gifts are not affected.

    FAQ

    Key handovers and housewarmings

    03

What makes a good key handover gift?

Something that stays with the keys or the home: a steel keyring, a frame for the first photo, herbs for the windowsill, a tool set for the first jobs. Laser engraving puts your logo on steel and wood, and a kraft bag or gift box turns it into a handover moment.

    04

Which housewarming customs do European clients know?

In Germany and Hungary, guests traditionally bring bread and salt to a new home, and the English word housewarming dates from the 1570s. A branded gift carries the same wish into the first days.

    FAQ

    Cafés, restaurants and catering

    05

What changes for take-away cups and containers?

From 12 February 2027, EU take-away outlets must fill customers' own containers at no extra charge, and from 12 February 2028 they must also offer a reusable option (Regulation (EU) 2025/40). Branded reusable cups and lunch boxes are one way to offer it.

    06

Is food grade a legal term for kitchen items?

No. EU law speaks of materials intended for food contact (Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004), shown by the glass-and-fork symbol unless the use is obvious. We state it only where the supplier's declaration covers it.

    07

Are promotional tool sets suitable for electrical work?

No. Insulated tools for live working fall under EN 60900 and must be certified and marked for it. Promotional sets such as TURNER or DECKER are for general jobs: furniture, fixings and small repairs.

    08

Which tools make a good giveaway for the trades?

Things that live in the van or the pocket: a tool set in a case, a 3 m locking tape, a magnetic level, light work gloves and a slim torch with a magnet. Cutters have blades: give them to adults only and check local rules on carrying them.

    FAQ

    Insurers, banks and utilities

    09

Which branded gifts suit insurers, banks and utilities?

Useful things for the home that make no promise: a rechargeable lantern for power cuts, a desk lamp, a weather station showing room temperature and humidity, a tool set for new homeowners. We never claim a gift lowers a bill or a risk.

    10

Why do your lamp descriptions show lumens?

Lumens describe brightness, watts describe power. Light sources in the EU carry an energy label on an A to G scale since 1 September 2021. We quote the lumens the maker states and make no efficiency claims.

    FAQ

    Care homes and senior living

    11

Which branded items suit care homes and senior living?

Comfort and everyday items for residents, visitors and staff: a fleece blanket, a table clock with a clear date display, a photo frame, herbs to sow, a craft kit. We describe what they are, never what they do for health.

    12

    Are your blankets certified?

Where the maker holds OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification, we show the class and the certificate number; class 2 covers items with direct skin contact. Without it, we name the fibre and the weight, such as 100% polyester, 180 gsm.

    14

    FAQ

    Before you order

    Search all 26 answers

      17

What is the minimum order for home items?

Many items have no minimum (GLORY, TABER, TURNER, NUMAN, LAMBERT, COMIX): order from 1 unit. Others vary; we confirm them in your quote.

      18

How long does a branded order take?

Usually 7 to 14 working days after artwork approval, plus at least 5 working days for delivery; longer for islands and outside the EU.

      19

Will I see a proof first?

Yes: a digital proof of your logo's size, position, colours and method. Production starts only once you approve it.

      20

Which logo file do you need?

A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) with Pantone references; a high-resolution PNG works for transfer and digital print.

      21

Which branding methods suit home items?

Laser on bamboo, wood, steel and aluminium; pad print on tool cases and clocks; screen print on lunch boxes, candles and pots; embroidery or transfer on blankets and aprons.

      22

What safety information comes with candles and lamps?

Under the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988, each item carries the maker's details and warnings in the buyer's language. Candle labels follow EN 15494.

      23

      Do items arrive boxed?

Many arrive in their own box, such as the kraft boxes of lamps and tool sets. We confirm each item's packaging in your quote.

      24

Can you deliver to several addresses, also outside the EU?

Yes, to all 33 European markets, split as you need. For the UK, Switzerland and Norway, customs adds days, the receiver usually needs an EORI number and usually pays import charges.

      25

      Why don't you say eco-friendly?

Since 27 September 2026, Directive (EU) 2024/825 bans generic green claims without proof, so we name the material: bamboo, cork, RPET.

      26

Do you supply knives and multi-tools?

Yes, for adults only, never in packs for under-18s. Check local carry rules: in the UK, only a non-locking folding blade up to 3 inches (7.62 cm) may be carried without good reason.
