    FAQ

    Lanyards and badges

    01

Which lanyard width and clip should we choose?

Ours come in 10, 15, 20 and 25 mm; most are 20 mm, and a wider strap gives the logo more room. Choose a carabiner or hook for badges and keys, or a breakaway (safety-release) clip where a dress code asks for one, as several NHS trusts do.

    02

What size of badge fits a lanyard holder?

    Most holders take an ID-1 card, the credit-card size of ISO/IEC 7810 (85.60 x 53.98 mm). Larger holders take A7 (74 x 105 mm) or A6 (105 x 148 mm) inserts. TABOR fits a 9.5 x 7.5 cm card.

    FAQ

    Festival giveaways

    03

Which giveaways work best at festivals and outdoor events?

Things people use on the spot and take home: hand fans, sunglasses that state UV400 and category 3, wristbands, rain ponchos, clappers and scarves. We match the print to the material: sublimation on wristbands, pad print on sunglasses, transfer or laser on fans.

    04

    Can festival wristbands be numbered?

Yes. DRILO and PARTY synthetic-fibre wristbands carry individual numbers for access control, from 1,000 units. FETE has an adjustable bead and starts at 50 units, and a tamper-proof satin bracelet is also available.

    FAQ

    Picnics, games and toys

    05

Do toys given away for free have to meet toy rules?

Yes. EU toy rules cover toys supplied free of charge, so a branded game or puzzle needs CE marking, EN 71 testing and its age warnings. Directive 2009/48/EC applies today; the new Toy Safety Regulation (EU) 2025/2509 applies from 1 August 2030.

    06

What goes into a team picnic kit?

A cooler bag (GRAJA holds 10 litres), a picnic blanket, cutlery in a case, a racket set or lawn game, and a puzzle or card game. Each piece carries the logo the way its material needs.

    FAQ 08

    Read a rain rating

    Water pressure

ISO 811 tests a fabric sample, not seams or whole items, so we never say waterproof. 1,000 Pa is about 102 mm.

    FAQ 07

2,495 mm Bergen's normal yearly precipitation (MET Norway).

Over half of recipients keep a branded umbrella 5+ years (ASI 2026, U.S.).

About 142 mm of rain in an average Irish December (Met Éireann).

    FAQ

    Umbrellas and rain gear

    07

Why don't you call umbrellas waterproof?

No standard defines a waterproof umbrella. ISO 811 tests how much water pressure a fabric sample resists, not seams or the finished item. So we describe each umbrella's build: 190T polyester, fibreglass ribs, canopy diameter and opening.

    08

Which umbrella size should we choose?

Foldable YAKU opens to about 95 cm and fits a bag. Stick umbrellas like LYSE open to 105 cm, HARUL to 130 cm and our largest to 134 cm. At events, a bigger canopy gives the logo more room.

    FAQ

    Camping and outdoor gear

    09

Are the carabiner clips on your camping gear for climbing?

No. They are accessory clips for keys, bottles and bags. Climbing connectors are tested under EN 12275 and marked with their strength in kN; ours carry no such rating, and product notes such as HALE's say so: not suitable for climbing.

    10

What do lumens and beam distance mean on a torch?

Lumens are the total light a torch gives out. Under the ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard, beam distance is where the beam falls to 0.25 lux. We quote the maker's figures, such as 420 lumens for ZABALA and 70 for CARPIX.

    FAQ

    Sports and fitness

    11

Are your footballs official match balls?

No. They are promotional balls for events, camps and giveaways, and none carries a FIFA Quality or FIBA approval. For reference, the Laws of the Game set a football at 68 to 70 cm around; we state each ball's size and material as its maker gives them.

    12

Can medals carry our event name and colours?

Yes. DRESEL (Ø 7 cm) and LEDEKI (Ø 5 cm) are metal medals on an 86 cm strap: the strap takes sublimation or transfer, the medal laser engraving or screen print. HOLDEN is a bamboo and cotton medal, and our glass trophies are laser engraved.

    Travel and adventure

    13

Why put a logo on a luggage tag?

Because it travels. IATA encourages external identification on every checked bag, with a second ID inside, so a tag rides along on every trip. CHARTER is shaped like a trolley case and FINDO is a PP ID tag; both carry your logo.

    14

Which travel items suit incentive trips and tours?

Things travellers use every day of the trip: a toiletry bag, a travel pillow, a document holder, a belt bag, a dry bag for boat days and a luggage scale (CHECKIN weighs up to 40 kg). Pack them together in a branded backpack.

    16

    What do 2-layer, 2.5-layer and 3-layer mean?

They describe how a shell is built: a 2-layer jacket laminates face fabric and membrane and hangs a loose lining inside; a 2.5-layer jacket adds a thin protective layer over the membrane; a 3-layer jacket bonds face fabric, membrane and lining into one laminate.

    FAQ

    Before you order

    Search all 26 answers

      17

What is the minimum order for event items?

Many items have no minimum (TABOR, YAKU, BEKAL, DRESEL, GRAJA). Some event lines do: HOST lanyards from 10, FETE wristbands from 50, numbered wristbands from 1,000.

      18

How long does a branded order take?

Catalogue items usually ship 7 to 14 working days after artwork approval, plus at least 5 working days for delivery. Premium brand garments are made to order; we confirm their timing.

      19

Will I see a proof first?

Yes: a digital proof of your logo's size, position, colours and method. Production starts only once you approve it.

      20

Which logo file do you need?

A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) with Pantone references; a high-resolution PNG works for sublimation and digital print.

      21

Which branding methods suit event items?

Sublimation on lanyards and wristbands, pad print on sunglasses and keyrings, screen print on ponchos and cooler bags, laser on torches and medals, embroidery or vinyl on premium jackets.

      22

Can you deliver to a trade fair stand or festival site?

Yes, with planning. Many venues, such as Messe München, accept no deliveries for exhibitors, so goods go through approved forwarders. We deliver to your forwarder, office or hotel; allow at least 5 working days.

      23

Can you deliver to several addresses, also outside the EU?

Yes, to all 33 European markets, split as you need. For the UK, Switzerland and Norway, customs adds days, the receiver usually needs an EORI number and usually pays import charges.

      24

      Why don't you say eco-friendly?

Since 27 September 2026, Directive (EU) 2024/825 bans generic green claims without proof, so we name the material: RPET, recycled aluminium, bamboo, cork.

      25

      Are your sunglasses CE marked?

Sunglasses are protective equipment under Regulation (EU) 2016/425. Most of ours state UV400 and lens category 3; EDEN is marked CE and EN ISO 12312-1. Category 4 lenses are not for driving.

      26

Do you supply knives and multi-tools?

Yes, for adults only, never for children's events. Check local carry rules: in the UK, only a non-locking folding blade up to 3 inches (7.62 cm) may be carried without good reason.
