    FAQ

    Travel mugs and thermal cups

    01

Will a branded travel mug fit my car's cup holder?

There is no standard size for car cup holders, so no mug fits them all. Compare the cup's base diameter with your holder; we confirm dimensions in your quote.

    02

Which print method suits a stainless steel travel mug?

Laser engraving removes the powder coating to reveal the steel, with no ink. Screen print gives a bold spot colour; white cups also take sublimation or digital print in full colour.

    04

Are ceramic mugs dishwasher and microwave safe?

    Reusable water bottles

    05

Single-wall or double-wall: which water bottle should we choose?

Single-wall steel or aluminium bottles are lighter and made for cold drinks. Double-wall vacuum bottles keep drinks hot or cold for the hours each maker states, but weigh more.

    06

What does recycled stainless steel mean on a bottle?

Part of the steel comes from recycled scrap. The share and its certificate, such as RCS, vary by product, so we only quote the figure and standard the maker gives.

    09

How are hot for 12 hours claims measured?

Is borosilicate glass better for hot drinks?

Can you brand glass, steel and cork drinkware?

    noma noma

    15

    Who makes noma noma bottles?

noma noma is a hydration start-up from Nuremberg, founded by Max, Sebastian and Marc. Its double-walled stainless steel bottle took almost two years to develop.

    16

What does 18/8 stainless steel mean?

It is grade 304 steel, with about 18% chromium and 8% nickel: the most common alloy for food and drink. Grade 316 adds molybdenum for more resistance to chlorides.

    Departures board

    Your quote checklist

    17

Is there a minimum order for branded drinkware?

It depends on the product. Many catalogue mugs and bottles can be quoted from one unit, event cups such as BAKY come in packs of 10, and premium brands set their own minimums.

    18

How long does branded drinkware take?

Catalogue items usually ship 7 to 14 working days after artwork approval, plus delivery. noma noma bottles take about 3 weeks, and bespoke designs take longer.

    19

Will I see a proof before production?

Yes. We send a digital proof of your logo on the product, and production starts only once you approve it in writing.

    20

Can we order different colours in one run?

Usually, yes. Many catalogue mugs and bottles let you split one order across colours with the same logo; minimums may apply per colour. We confirm the split in your quote.

    21

What logo file do you need?

A vector file (AI, EPS or vector PDF) for screen print, pad print and laser engraving. Full-colour methods such as sublimation and digital print also accept a high-resolution image.

    22

Which branding lasts longest on drinkware?

On ceramics, a transfer fired into the glaze is usually the most durable. On steel, laser engraving removes the coating rather than adding ink. Durability depends on the product, so follow each maker's care notes.

    23

Can you match our brand colours?

Screen and pad print use Pantone spot colours, the closest match to a brand colour. Full-colour methods print in CMYK, and the colour of the product shows through, so check the proof.

    24

Does drinkware need the glass and fork symbol?

No. Under Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004, articles clearly meant for food, such as mugs, cups and bottles, do not need the symbol. Ask us for the supplier's declaration.

    25

Is BPA banned in drinkware in the EU?

Yes. Regulation (EU) 2024/3190 bans BPA in food contact materials. Repeat-use items made with it could be placed on the market until 20 July 2026 and may stay on sale until 20 July 2027.

    26

What does dishwasher safe mean on printed drinkware?

It should rest on a test. EN 12875 is the reference dishwashing method but sets no single cycle count, so ask which part and how many cycles were tested. Otherwise, follow the care notes.

    27

Do you deliver across Europe and to several addresses?

Yes. We deliver to all 33 European markets and can split one order across several addresses. A local phone number for each recipient helps the courier deliver first time.

    28

Can you deliver to the UK, Switzerland or Norway?

Yes. These deliveries clear customs, which adds days, and the receiver usually needs an EORI number. Under standard terms, import charges are paid by the receiver.
