    FAQ 01

    FAQ

Corporate shirts: the questions we hear most

    01

Poplin, oxford or twill: which shirt fabric should we choose?

Poplin is a fine plain weave: smooth, crisp and the most formal. Oxford is a basket weave with a softer, textured look that suits business casual. Twill has a diagonal line and drapes well; denim is a twill too. A little elastane adds stretch.

    02

Do your corporate shirts come in men's and women's fits?

Yes. Most of our shirts come as a pair: a men's cut and a women's fitted cut with darts at the chest and waist, in the same fabric and colours, so a mixed team looks consistent.

    03

Is there a minimum order for branded shirts?

Most of our shirts have no minimum order, so you can mix fits and sizes freely, from S to 3XL on most styles. Branded shirts usually ship 7 to 14 working days after artwork approval, to all 33 European markets.

      FAQ

      Dress codes and uniforms

      04

How many shirts does each person need?

Our rule of thumb: one shirt for each working day between washes, plus one spare. With a weekly wash and a five-day week, that is six each; if shirts are washed every day, two each is enough.

      05

What is the difference between business casual and business attire?

Business attire means a suit, or a formal shirt with tailored trousers or a skirt. Business casual keeps the shirt but relaxes the rest: knitwear, chinos, no tie. In Great Britain, 7% of workers wear a suit to work, 34% dress smart casual and 19% wear a uniform (YouGov, 2023).

      06

Can knitwear be part of a corporate uniform?

Yes. Fine-knit V-neck jumpers and cardigans, here in 12 gauge, layer over shirts for cooler offices and front desks, and they take an embroidered logo well.

      The finishing touch

Small details, stitched well: the logo, the monogram and the press

Choose where the logo goes and in which thread, add initials to the cuff, then iron the shirt yourself and see why the dots on the label matter.

      FAQ

      Logos and care

      07

Where should the logo go on a corporate shirt?

The left chest is the classic: embroidered, small and neat, on the shirt or its pocket. A monogram on the cuff or collar adds a quiet, premium touch, and the sleeve suits a second mark. Choose a thread that contrasts with the fabric.

      08

How should corporate shirts be washed and ironed?

Follow the label: most of our shirts wash at 30 or 40 °C and iron at low temperature, one dot on the iron symbol, up to 110 °C. Easy-care finishes and polyester-cotton blends are made to crease less, so they need little ironing.
